Weapons Seized In Police Searches In East Belfast
A number of weapons have been seized in a police operation in east Belfast, which saw officers conducted a series of search operations on the morning of Wednesday 20 July.
Following the operation, Inspector Pete Cunningham said: "Following searches in the Beechfield Street area we have recovered a number of items, including two knives, an axe and two small, clear plastic bags, often used for dealing illegal drugs.
"The items were recovered near a park where children play and thankfully were recovered by Police before any potential serious incident.
"We are appealing to the public to be mindful of the dangers of these types of weapons and evidence of illegal drug use. Anyone with any information about dangerous weapons or illegal drug use or supply should contact Police on 101."

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Cocaine Worth £100,000 Seized In West Belfast
A large quantity of suspected illegal drugs were seized during a Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) search operation at a property in west Belfast on Wednesday, 21st February. The search, in the Dermott Hill Road area, was part of an ongoing investigation into suspected criminality linked to the INLA.

The PSNI have deployed an armoured tactical vehicle, known as a BearCat, during a proactive search operation in Bangor. Officers from Bangor District Support Team, assisted by officers from specialist Operations Branch providing specialist access, conducted a search at a property in the Killaire Road area of the town on Wednesday, 13th March.

Police seize weapons and drugs in loyalist stronghold
Police has seized a substantial amount of weapons, ammunition and drugs during a raid in north Belfast yesterday. Three people were arrested during the raid in the loyalist Westland area of the city in which an AK47 rifle, handguns and component parts for other weapons were found.
