Former NI Captain And Manager Terry Neill Dies Aged 80

Former Northern Ireland and Arsenal captain and manager Terry Neill has died at the age of 80.

Neill from Belfast was Arsenal's youngest captain at 20 and played over 270 games for the club between 1957 and 1970.

Born in 1942, he started playing for Bangor's youth team and went on to play for Arsenal in 1959, aged 17.

In a statement Arsenal said: "Terry Neill’s status as both club captain and manager made him a major influence on 20th-century Arsenal. His fantastic contribution – and indeed his character – will always be appreciated by everyone associated with the club. 

"Our thoughts are with Terry's family and close friends at this difficult time."

Arsenal Assistant Manager Pat Rice is to leave the Club at the end of the season after a 44-year association with the Gunners. Rice, the former Northern Ireland football player and coach, has a rich history with Arsenal Football Club, having first joined as a youth team player back in 1964.

NI's Boxing Captain Sean McComb Involved In Nightclub Incident
Northern Ireland's boxing captain Sean McComb has allegedly been involved in a incident at a nightclub on the Gold Coast. According to reports, the 25-year-old has been banned from areas of the Gold Coast at the Commonwealth Games after he was issued with an infringement notice for causing public nuisance (violence).
