Dunluce Centre Fire Being Investigated As Arson
An arson investigation has been launched into a fire at the Dunluce Centre in Portrush.
Emergency services responded to reports of a fire at the former Portrush tourist attraction at about 20:30 on Monday 08 August.
At its height approximately 50 firefighters attended the scene.
Police have said that they believe the building was accessed via a vent and the fire was started deliberately.
There are no reports of any injuries and it is understood that the building was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
Anyone with information about the fire, or anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious, is urged to contact police.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Man Critical After Falling Over 30ft Into A Cave In Co Antrim
A man has been seriously injured after he fell over 30 feet into a cave near Dunluce Castle in Co Antrim. The incident happened at around 4.45pm on Sunday, 24 July. A spokesperson for the Coastguard said an inshore lifeboat rescued him. He was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast where he remains in a critical condition.

NI's Chief Fire Officer Announces His Retirement
The Chief Fire Officer for Northern Ireland, Peter Craig, has announced that he is to retire after over 35 years of distinguished Service. Peter Craig is one of the longest serving officers in Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service and was appointed as Chief Fire Officer in February 2011, having been the acting Chief from July 2010.
