Damien Heagney Investigation: Suspected Human Remain Discovered

Police investigating the disappearance and possible murder of Damien Heagney have uncovered suspected human remains in County Tyrone.

According to reports, the suspected remains were discovered during a search of a reservoir in Cappagh.

Mr Heagney (47) was reported missing in July, however it is understood that the Cookstown man was last seen in Dromore on New Year's Eve.

Earlier this week Crimestoppers offered a £20,000 reward for information leading to a prosecution in the disappearance and murder of Mr Heagney.

Police have said that further information on today's discovery will be issued and that their investigation is ongoing.
