Teenagers Rescued From Roof Of Scottish Mutual Building
Emergency services have rescued five teenage boys from the roof of the Scottish Mutual Building in Belfast city centre.
Police were called to the building on Donegall Street – the site of the failed George Best hotel – at around 7.20pm on Monday 05 September.
It is believed that the teenagers had accessed the roof by climbing the scaffolding of the building. It is unclear if the boys had become stuck and were unable to get back down or if their presence on the building had attracted attention and alerted police.
Donegal Street was closed during the operation.
