Appeal For Information After Graffiti Targets James Nesbitt

The PSNI in Coleraine have issued an appeal for information following reports of graffiti targeting actor James Nesbitt on a wall in the Bushmills Road area of Portrush.

According to reports, the graffiti referenced the NI actor next to a crosshair. It is believed that the graffiti is related to Mr Nesbitt's political views and comes a week after he addressed a forum in Dublin discussing a united Ireland.

The graffiti is believed to have been written on the wall sometime between 5pm on Tuesday and 7.30pm on Wednesday evening and is being treated as a hate crime.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers would ask anyone with any information to contact them in Coleraine on 101, quoting reference number 1677 19/10/22. Appeal For Information On Serious Assault In Portadown
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a serious assault in Portadown that it being investigated as a 'disability hate crime'. On Saturday, 24 February, at around 5.20pm, police received a report that a young man had been attacked by six teenage boys in the High Street Mall area.
