Appeal For Witnesses To Serious Lurgan Collision

The PSNI have issued an appeal for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision in Lurgan on Tuesday 25th October.

Making the appeal, Sgt Innes said: "A report was received shortly after 1.40pm that a collision had occurred on the Antrim Road, near Lurgan Park, involving one vehicle and a pedestrian.

"Officers attended the scene, together with colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance.

"Two women were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries. The pedestrian remains in a serious condition.

"Enquiries to establish the circumstances of the incident are continuing, and we would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed it, or captured any dash cam or mobile phone footage, to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 943 of 25/10/2022."

Man Jailed For Manslaughter Of Andrew James Thompson
A 44-year-old man has been jailed for manslaughter and committing arson recklessly to endanger life having unlawfully killed Andrew James Thompson. At Newry Crown Court, Gary Anthony Magee was sentenced to serve seven years in prison, half to be served in custody and half on license, following his guilty plea last October.

Appeal Following Serious Collision In Gilford
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on Banbridge Road, Gilford on Saturday 9th March. Just after 10.50pm, it was reported that two vehicles had collided on the road between Lawrencetown and Gilford.
