Five shots fired at house in south Belfast

A man has escaped injury after a number of shots were fired at his home in south Belfast on Thursday.

A 30-year-old man was inside his Best Hill View home on the Purdysburn Road when five shots were fired through the living room window of the house at around 11pm.

Significant damage was caused to the living room with bullet holes covering the back wall.

Interviewed following last nights incident, Mark Stubbs said the shooting attack followed several death threats made against him in recent weeks.

Police believe his attackers escaped in a red coloured Mazda car and have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
