Two Arrested In Ongoing L'Derry Bonfire Shooting Incident
A 19-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man have been arrested in connection with an investigation into shots being fired at a bonfire in L'Derry in August.
Detectives investigating the incident, reported to have occurred in the Meenan Square area of the Bogside on the night of 15 August, made the arrests this morning, Thursday 24 November.
Detective Inspector Clara Heaton said: "Officers carried out searches of two properties this morning – both in the Bogside/Brandywell areas of the city.
"A number of items were seized for examination.
"A 19-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man have been arrested under the Terrorism Act, and taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station for questioning.
"Our enquiries continue, and I would reiterate our appeal for anyone with information to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 2217 of 15/08/22."

Man Arrested Following Incident At House In Coleraine
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

Two Charged With Murdering Owen Creaney
Two people have been charged with the murder of Owen Creaney. Mr Creaney, 40, who has been described as "frail and vulnerable" by police, was found in a wheelie bin at a property in the Craigavon area on Saturday (5 July). Following the discovery, detectives arrested a man, aged 27, and a 23-year-old woman in connection with the incident.
