Loyalists linked to fatal shooting in east Belfast
Loyalists are believed to be behind the killing of a man at an east Belfast industrial estate early this morning.
The 34-year-old victim was sitting in his car at Alanbrooke Road off Montgomery Road shortly before 8am when he was shot dead.
The man, who is understood to have LVF connections, was treated by an ambulance crew but died at the scene.
His killers are believed to have made off in a silver car which was found on fire a short time later close to Lisnasharragh police station.
Montgomery Road had been closed and traffic diversions are currently in place while the scene is examined by forensics specialists.
Security Minister Ian Pearson describe today's murder as "a callous act".
"I will be keeping in close contact with PSNI as their investigation into this murder progresses and I would call on anyone who has information to pass it to the Police," he added.

Man Charged With Double Murder
A man has been charged with killing two Catholic men in Belfast almost 20 years ago. Gary Convie, 24, and Eamon Fox, 44, were shot by the UVF as they sat in a car near a building site on North Queen Street in May 1994. Both men were builders from Co Armagh.
