Drugs Worth £25,000 Seized In Portadown

Police from the District Support Team and Neighbourhood Policing Team in Portadown have arrested two people and seized a quantity of controlled drugs worth approximately £25,000 following a number of searches of properties in Portadown on Friday 16, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th December.

Inspector Ruston said: "Officers carried out searches under warrant in the Garvaghy Park and Churchill Park areas and recovered a large quantity of suspected Class A, B and C controlled drugs and cash.

"A woman and a teenage male were arrested and have been bailed to allow for further police enquiries.

"Information from the public is key in our continued efforts to tackle drugs in our community. These seizures and arrests can serve to reassure the public that we will take their concerns seriously as we work to stop those involved in such illegal activities.

"I am appealing to anyone with information about the illicit supply, possession or misuse of drugs to please call police in confidence on the non-emergency number 101, or submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.

Woman Dies In Garage Fire At Portadown Home
A woman has died after a fire in the garage of a house in Portadown, County Armagh. The fire at Oakleigh Park, off the Brownstown Road, was reported to police shortly after 07:20 GMT on Monday. Police and firefighters are still at the scene and are investigating the cause of the fire. The woman's name has not yet been released.

The PSNI in Derry City & Strabane have warned people to be wary of scammers following a report this week of a person who thought they'd bought tickets online for a Taylor Swift concert only to find out they'd been swindled. According to police, it was reported that a person had found tickets for the concert on an online platform.

Two arrested following police raids
Two men have been arrested following police searches in north Belfast. Two handguns, ammunition, drugs worth an estimated street value of £27,000, documents and around £17,000 in cash, were seized during the raids, which are believed to be linked to organised crime in the city.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in Portadown on Wednesday, 01 May. At 3.25pm yesterday, police received a report that a man with a knife had been seen in the Portmore Street area.
