Appeal For Information On Assault In Ballygowan
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of an assault in the Square area of Ballygowan.
Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant Westbury said: "It was reported that an 18-year-old man was assaulted outside a licenced premises at around 1am this morning, Sunday 8th January.
"The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition at this time.
"Our enquiries are ongoing to establish exactly what happened, but I know there was a large number of people in the area at the time and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or have any information to come forward. I am also appealing to anyone with mobile phone or dash-cam footage that could help with enquiries to contact police on 101 quoting reference 326 of 08/01/23."

BCC Welcomes Conviction Of Belfast Man For Dog Attack
Belfast City Council (BCC) has welcomed the conviction of a man at Belfast Magistrates Court for an offence involving a dog attack on a woman. BCC brought the prosecution against 43-year-old Stuart Grace, of Forthriver Crescent, Belfast, following a report that Mr Grace’s German Shepherd dog had attacked a woman, injuring her arm and back.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the seizure of suspected Class A and B drugs on Wednesday, 24 April. The man was arrested after a quantity of suspected cannabis was found following the search of a car at Derryvolgie Avenue on Wednesday evening.
