Last Men Questioned In DCI Caldwell Investigation Released
The last two men, aged 33 and 57, being questioned by detectives investigating the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell on 22nd February in the Killyclogher Road area of Omagh, have been released, the PSNI have reported.
Major Investigation Team detectives continue to ask for the public's help and would appeal to witnesses or those with information to get in touch by calling 101.
Detectives are also highlighting a reward of up to £20,000 from Crimestoppers, who are a charity and independent of the police. The reward is offered for information given directly to Crimestoppers that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for John's attempted murder. Contact the charity anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
Information, including photos, CCTV and dash-cam footage, can also be provided to police through the Major Incident Public Portal at mipp.police.uk/operation/PSNI23S03-PO1.

Man Arrested Over Eugene Carr's Murder
Detectives investigating the murder of 73 year-old Eugene Carr in 2015 have made an arrest. The 35 year-old was detained in the Coleraine area on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at Coleraine Police Station where he is being questioned by detectives. Mr Carr, a father and grandfather, was attacked while in bed in his Co Armagh home.

Two men, aged 47 and 71, arrested in connection with the investigation into the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell on 22nd February in the Killyclogher Road area of Omagh, has been released following questioning. Two other men, aged 33 and 57, remain in police custody at this time.
