B.I.C. Systems forms strategic partnership with Commvault Systems
B.I.C. Systems, a leading technology solutions provider in Ireland and the UK, has announced a strategic partnership with CommVault Systems, a US headquartered provider of enterprise data management solutions to a global customer base.
CommVault Systems provides solutions designed to ensure high performance data protection, universal availability and simplified management of complex storage networks.
B.I.C. Systems has already installed CommVault products in customer sites on a number of projects and under the terms of the partnership, B.I.C. Systems will offer CommVault products as a regular part of its solutions portfolio to its customer base in Ireland and the UK.
Alasdair Kilgour, UK & Ireland Managing Director, CommVault, said: “We’re pleased to welcome B.I.C Systems to our partner community. The company’s focus on designing, implementing and supporting enterprise class data management and storage solutions was a key factor in B.I.C. Systems’ selection and we look forward to working with them closely over the coming years.”
Ed Vernon, Group Managing Director, B.I.C. Systems, said: “This partnership with CommVault Systems represents a major step forward for B.I.C. Systems, in that our capacity to offer solutions in the areas of data storage and back up, and disaster recovery, has been significantly enhanced”.
“Strategically, our partnership with CommVault Systems is the latest stage in the ongoing development of the range of solutions that we can offer to our customers. We are already one of the largest resellers of CommVault products in Ireland,” said Mr Vernon.
“Partnering with best of breed technology providers, such as Commvault Systems, is a key element of our business strategy going forward,” he said.
The flagship CommVault offerings include CommVault Galaxy back up and recovery software and the CommVault QiNetix data management platform. The QiNetix platform is designed to integrate a range of specific CommVault technologies which are aimed at supporting customers in the areas of storage management, back up and recovery, and data migration and archiving.
The CommVault products can be tailored to function across the majority of technology platforms, including Microsoft, Oracle, Linux, SAP and EMC, and have also won a number of awards, in the US and the UK.
