PSNI Investigating Hammer Attack In North Belfast

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following an aggravated burglary in north Belfast in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 21 March.

Shortly after 4am, the PSNI received a report that three people, armed with weapons, attacked a house in Duncairn Gardens.

The attackers caused damage to the front door of the property, before gaining access and attacking a resident with a hammer.

All three made off in the direction of the Antrim Road.

Detective Sergeant Kitchen said: "I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the attack or who may have CCTV or doorbell footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 151 of 21/03/23.

Man Hospitalised After North Belfast Shooting
A man has been hospitalised following a shooting in north Belfast. Police are probing the paramilitary style incident in the Ardoyne area last night, Wednesday 21 August. The victim, a man in his forties, was shot in both legs. He is believed to be in stable condition today.
