Police are appealing for information following a fight at a Balleymoney Train Station in County Antrim.

Up to 20 people were reportedly fighting on a train in the Seymour Street area at around 9.45pm on Saturday.

A glass bottle was thrown and smashed and a 14-year-old boy who was injured was taken to hospital.

Several other people received treatment for injuries at the station.

Police officers attended the scene and three people were cautioned.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Anyone who was in the area of Ballymoney Train Station at the time and who witnessed this incident or who has any information which could assist us with our enquiries is asked to call us on 101 quoting reference number 2071 03/06/23."

Sinn Féin MLA Philip McGuigan said: "The horrific scenes in this footage have resulted in a teenager being taken to hospital and a number of others injured.

"There is no place for this type of activity, and people using public transport at the time were badly shaken up.

"I have spoken with the PSNI this morning and made it clear that all steps must be taken to ensure this isn’t repeated and those responsible are held accountable in the courts.

"Anyone with information on this incident should bring it forward to the police."
