Outside Area Of Seafood Restaurant Destroyed In Arson Attack

The outside area of a restaurant in Belfast City Centre has been destroyed in a suspected arson attack.

Mourne Seafood Bar confirmed the outside area will be closed for the foreseeable future, however the restaurant inside will be operating as normal.

Sharing an image of the aftermath, Mourne Seafood Bar based in Bank Street suggested the incident "looks like arson", with the picture showing their tables burned and debris scattered across the ground.

The PSNI and crews from the NI Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire.

Police are treating it as an arson attack and are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Suspected arson attack on West Belfast convent
A convent in West Belfast has been targeted in a suspected arson attack over the weekend. The Convent of Mercy in the Beechmount area suffered damage to the kitchen and the roof during the incident, which happened at around 9.50pm Friday.

PSNI Appeal For Information On Fatal Collision Outside Tandragee
The PSNI have named a man who died following a road traffic collision outside Tandragee, as 84-year-old Sidney McIldoon. Mr McIldoon, who was from Portadown, died following a collision between his vehicle and a tractor on Tuesday afternoon, 13th February on the Cornascriebe Road, between Tandragee and Hamiltonsbawn.

15-Year-Old Arrested Following Stabbing In Lisburn
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 14-year-old in the Knockmore Road area of Lisburn last night, Monday 25th March. Police have said that at approximately 7.40pm on Monday 25 March, a 14-year-old boy had been approached by a group of teenagers, before being stabbed in the lower back.

PSNI Name Kilkeel Murder Victim As Bobbie McKee
The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have named the man who was murdered in Kilkeel on Thursday, 21st March as Bobbie McKee. Mr McKee, who was 69-years-old, was pronounced dead after his body was located in a property in the Newcastle Road area last Thursday afternoon following a report of a concern for safety for a couple.
