Man Hospitalised Following Serious Assault In L'Derry
A man is being treated in hospital following a serious assault in the Waterside area of L'Derry.
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses on the incident which occurred at the back of a shop on Spencer Road at around 4.30pm on Saturday, 12 August.
Police have said that the victim was punched and kicked in his face and left with serious facial injuries.
Chief Inspector Watt said: "This was a nasty assault, and enquiries to establish what happened are ongoing. We know this area was busy on Saturday, and our appeal is to anyone who witnessed what happened, captured footage, or has information that could assist us, to get in touch with us."

Police have issued an appeal for information following a serious assault in north Belfast. A man is being treated in hospital after he was reportedly beaten by a number of men at a house on meadow Grove. According to police a number of masked me forced their way into the property and proceeded to beat the victim with suspected metal bars.
