Armed robber attacks take-away employee

Police in east Belfast have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a take-away restaurant on the Albertbridge Road.

A police spokesperson said that two masked men entered the restaurant just before 12.00am and demanded money. Both men leapt over the counter and one of the men who was armed with a knife, struck an employee in the face. The worker sustained facial injuries in the attack and was taken to hospital suffering from shock. The two men made off on foot with an undisclosed sum of money.

Two Armed Men Rob Shop In West Belfast
Two armed men wearing Halloween masks have robbed a shop in west Belfast. The incident happened in the Shankill Road area just before 10am on Saturday, 06 October. The men, armed with hammers, demanded money and then fled the premises. Staff were left badly shaken, however there were no injuries.

Police investigate vicious overnight attacks
Three people have been treated in hospital after a gang of masked men armed with machetes, knives and baseball bats attacked them in a house in County Antrim. The gang of seven or eight men, one of whom may have had a handgun, entered a house on Friday August 17 at Donegore Drive in Antrim and forced the seven occupants to lie on the floor.

Suspect Charged Over Maghera Robbery
A man has been charged after a filling station was robbed in Co Londonderry. The theft happened on 5 February in Maghera. Police said a number of masked men armed with handguns were involved in the incident. The 48-year-old male has been charged with robbery and firearms offences.

Teen Shooting Victim 'Serious'
A shooting in Co Londonderry has been slammed by police officers as "vicious". The victim, a 16-year-old boy who was shot in both legs in a house in Coleraine is lucky to be alive, the PSNI have said. They said that two masked and armed men forced their way into a house in the Crescent area of the town at about 10.
