PSNI Investigate Fatal Collisions In Larne And Markethill

The PSNI in Larne and Markethill have issued appeals for information following two, separate, fatal collisions.

A 76-year-old woman, named by the PSNI as Margaret Small, died in hospital following a two vehicle road traffic collision in Larne, on Wednesday November 1st.

Sergeant Green, from the Police Service's Collision Investigation Unit, said: "The collision, involving a white Nissan X-trail and a white Scania lorry, occurred shortly before 2.50pm on Wednesday afternoon, at the Pound Street junction with the A8.

"Two other people were taken to hospital following the collision, however, their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

"An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the collision, and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed it, or has any dash cam footage, to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1203 1/11/23. Alternatively, you can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via *www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/."

Separately, in Markethill, a man has died following a four vehicle road traffic collision on Gosford Road at approximately 1.20am on Saturday, 4th November.

Eight people required hospital for treatment for their injuries following the collision.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage that could assist enquiries, is asked to contact police at Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting reference 104 of 04/11/23.

Victim Of Fatal Road Collision In Co Antrim Named
The victim of a fatal road crash in Crumlin, Co Antrim, has been named as Emmanuel Caddell, police have confirmed. Mr Caddell, 22, died following the two-vehicle collision involving a car and a lorry on Monday, 10 April. The incident happened on the Manse Road at around 10.50am. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a serious road traffic collision in Newcastle, Co Down. The Ballagh Road has been closed and motorists are being advised to avoid the area. A PSNI spokesman said: "Motorists are advised that the Ballagh Road, Newcastle is closed due to a serious road traffic collision this afternoon.

Man Dies Following Fatal Collision On M2
The PSNI have issued an appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the M2 motorway outside Belfast on Sunday, 22 July. A man has died following the five-vehicle collision, which occurred on the M2 near Duncrue just before 4pm yesterday.
