PSNI Officers Arrest Four People After Pursuit In Enniskillen

The PSNI's Fermanagh and Omagh District Support Team arrested four people yesterday, 7 November, on suspicion of over 70 offences.

Two men aged 36 and 26 years old and two women aged 36 and 28 years old were arrested on suspicion of 70 offences dating back to 2016 including 46 counts of theft, 18 counts of going equipped for theft, dangerous driving and failing to stop for police. The individuals are currently in police custody.

The arrest took place after policing teams from Fermanagh and Omagh observed a suspicious vehicle travelling along the Wellington Road area of Enniskillen. The individuals in the gold coloured Renault Megane are believed to have been linked to the theft of a shop at the Sedan Avenue of Omagh on 7 November, in which a number of goods were stolen from the premises.

A short police pursuit began after the vehicle failed to stop, the vehicle came to a halt at the opposite end of the Wellington Road at around 3:50pm. The vehicle collided with two other vehicles, but there were no reports of any injuries. A number of items were recovered from the vehicle following the incident which were believed to have been stolen from a commercial premises in Omagh earlier in the day.

Enquiries are continuing and police are continuing to appeal to anyone with any information or who may have dash-cam footage available in relation to the road traffic collision in Enniskillen. Man Dies In Road Crash In Co Tyrone
