Two motorcyclists die in accident
Two motorcyclists have died following a road accident in Co Down last night.
The incident occurred on the Ballymoney Road in the Craigantlet Hills at around 10.15pm.
One of the men died at the scene, while the second victim died a short time later in hospital.
North Down MP Lady Hermon described the news as "tragic". "Two more tragic deaths on our roads in North Down are two too many," the UUP member said. "Here we had two young men in the prime of their lives but, through some terrible turn of events, those lives have been cruelly snatched from them.
"I feel profoundly sorry for their families and friends who have now to cope with the awful heartache and grief that comes through the sudden death of a loved one in a traffic accident."
