Appeal For Information On Newry Security Alert

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a security alert in Newry on Monday, 01 January.

The alert began when it was reported to police that a suspicious object had been left in the Drumgullion Avenue area at around 2.50pm.

A number of homes in the area were evacuated as officers conducted a public safety operation in the area.

Following an examination, the device was declared viable before being made safe and removed for further examination.

Inspector McCormick said: "Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1310 of 01/01/24.

Appeal For Information On Limavady Burglary
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a burglary in the Kings Lane area of Limavady on Wednesday 18th January. Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant Gardiner said: "At around 1:30pm, it was reported to police that entry was gained to a property in the area and a sum of money was taken during the incident.

Renewed Appeal For Help Tracing Missing Woman Paula Elliott
The PSNI have issued a fresh appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of high-risk missing person Paula Elliott, who has now not been seen for three weeks. Paula, 52, was last seen on Tuesday 5th March on CCTV cameras leaving the Sprucefield Court area of Lisburn at 5.30pm, before making her way to Warren Gardens at around 5.36pm.
