Woman Arrested Following Craigavon Search Operation

A 33-year-old woman has been arrested by the PSNI's Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) following a search in the Craigavon area on Tuesday 27th February.

As a result of the search, a quantity of suspected Class B controlled drugs were seized, alongside cash and mobile devices. The items were taken away for further forensic examination.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply and possession of criminal property. She remains in police custody at this time.

A 29-year-old man was issued a community resolution notice (CRN) for drug related offences during the search.

Detective Inspector Phelan said: "Our enquiries remain ongoing following today's arrest and seizures. This is a demonstration of the PCTF's commitment to tackle the harm caused by illegal drug use and supply in our communities.

"I would encourage anyone with information about the supply or use of illegal drugs to contact police on 101."

Appeal Following Serious Collision In Gilford
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on Banbridge Road, Gilford on Saturday 9th March. Just after 10.50pm, it was reported that two vehicles had collided on the road between Lawrencetown and Gilford.

Terrorism Threat Level Reduced To 'SUBSTANTIAL'
The threat of a terrorist attack in Northern Ireland has been lowered from 'SEVERE' to 'SUBSTANTIAL' by UK Security Service, MI5. This means that the threat of terrorism has gone from 'Highly likely' to 'likely'.

PSNI Adopts New Protocol For Helping People With Sight Loss
The PSNI has announced the introduction of a new Vision Impairment Protocol, developed in partnership with the Royal National Institute of Blind People Northern Ireland (RNIB) to assist people with sight loss and other vulnerable people who need to contact or be contacted by police.
