St John Ambulance Announces Sports First Aid Course

St John Ambulance NI, a renowned provider of first aid training, has announced its upcoming Sports First Aid Course scheduled for Saturday, 23rd March.

The course will be held at its premises located on the Saintfield Road in Belfast.

Designed to equip participants with essential life-saving skills tailored specifically for sports-related emergencies, the course covers a wide array of topics including adult and child resuscitation (CPR), management of bone, muscle, and joint injuries, handling chest pains, communication and casualty care, head injuries, coping with heat and cold extremes, managing casualties outdoors, addressing minor and severe bleeding, conducting primary surveys, understanding the role of the sports first aider, managing shock and dealing with unresponsive adults and children.

In a significant update, the course now incorporates training on the use of a defibrillator during emergencies, further enhancing participants' ability to respond effectively to critical situations.
