15-Year-Old Arrested Following Stabbing In Lisburn

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 14-year-old in the Knockmore Road area of Lisburn last night, Monday 25th March.

Police have said that at approximately 7.40pm on Monday 25 March, a 14-year-old boy had been approached by a group of teenagers, before being stabbed in the lower back. The boy was treated in hospital for his injuries, which police have said are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers attended the scene and located the suspect, a 15-year-old boy, who was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offence weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence. He remains in police custody at this time.

Sergeant Davison said: "Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area or noticed any suspicious activity or who may have captured dashcam or mobile footage to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 1745 of 25/03/24."

Man Arrested Following Two Stabbing Incidents In Belfast
A 27-year-old man has been arrested following two stabbing incidents in Belfast city centre. The injuries to both victims are not believed to be life-threatening. Inspector Donna McGrady said police were alerted at about 1.15am by a member of the public on Bedford Street to a fight going on in the area.
