A pensioner has been treated for shock after a number of men broke into her south Belfast home early this morning.

The 78-year-old woman awoke to find three intruders standing in her bedroom shortly after midnight.

One of the men held the elderly woman down while the other ransacked the room and demanded money, however they eventually fled the Baroda Street home, in the Annadale area, empty handed.
