Police Investigate Woman's Death In Magherafelt
An investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in Magherafelt.
Police officers found the, aged in her 50s, unresponsive in her home in the Ashgrove Park area of the town on the afternoon of Sunday, 18 August.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man, aged in his 40s, has been arrested in connection with the investigation and remains in custody at this time, assisting with enquiries.
Police are working to established the circumstances surrounding the woman's death.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Police have launched an investigation following a fatal crash in Co Antrim. The collision, between a bus and a car, happened in Randalstown at around 2.45pm on Sunday, 11 February. A 58-year-old woman died as a result of injuries she sustained in the incident. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

The body of a woman has been found at house in west Belfast, police have confirmed. The body, which was found in a house in Cavendish Square shortly after midnight on Tuesday, is that of 47-year-old Geraldine Kane who had been missing since Monday.
