Two Arrested In Connection With South Belfast Assault

Police have made two arrests in connection with a reported assault in south Belfast on Tuesday, 11 September.

Shortly before 3pm it was reported that a man had been injured following an altercation involving a number of people in the Botanic Avenue area.

A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and remains in police custody at this time.

A 37-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, she has since been released on bail to allow for further enquiries to take place.

Inspector Carey said: "Enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the altercation to contact police on 101 quoting reference 948 10/09/24."

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A 44-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an attack on a woman in Co Armagh. The man has also been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, threats to kill, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence, common assault and attempt to commit grievous bodily harm.

Man Arrested Over Serious Assault In Belfast City Centre
A man has been arrested in connection with an assault in Belfast city centre in the early hours of Sunday 02 April. Detective Sergeant Kennedy said: "Shortly after 4:05am, it was reported that three men were assaulted in the area by another man. Three 18-year-old men were taken to hospital for their injuries.
