Family escape injury in gun attack
Police are appealing for information after a couple and their two children escaped injury in a gun attack in Co Antrim early this morning.
The family were in their house at Ballymacrea Road, Portrush, when a gang tried to force their way in through the front door shortly after midnight. A baton-type object was used to beat the door which left a number of glass panes broken.
During the incident, two shots were fired which narrowly missed bedrooms where the couple's children were sleeping.
Police in Coleraine said they are trying to establish a motive for the attack and confirmed that the family had now left their home.

Chief Constable Committed To Addressing Issues In Sean Browne Investigation
The PSNI Chief Constable has said that he is committed to working with the family of Sean Browne and others impacted by the disclosure limitations of the coronial process. Chief Constable, Jon Boutcher, made the commitment as he acknowledged the comments of the Coroner on the murder of GAA Official, Sean Browne, in 1997.
