Suspected Drugs Seized In Ballymoney

Police have seized suspected drugs and other items during planned searches in the wider Ballymoney area on Monday morning, 3rd February.

Officers from the Ballycastle Neighbourhood Policing Team, supported by District Support Officers (DST), conducted searches at two properties.

As a result of the searches, officers seized suspected Class A and B controlled drugs, a quantity of cash, electronic devices, drugs-related paraphernalia, and other items.

Inspector Burns said: "We're committed to tackling the illegal supply and use of drugs and will continue to work relentlessly to tackle this issue. I would encourage anyone with concerns or information about the supply or use of illegal drugs to call 101."

Man Arrested Following Machete Incident In East Belfast
Police in east Belfast have arrested a 31-year-old man following a report of a man with a machete in the Devon Drive area of the city on Thursday evening. Just before 10.10pm, police received a report that two men, one of whom was armed with a machete, were involved in a fight in the street.
