Body Recovered In Bushmills Confirmed as Missing Man

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has confirmed that the body recovered from the Causeway Road area of Bushmills on Sunday, 23 February, is that of 20-year-old Lester McLennan.

This confirmation follows a post-mortem examination. Mr McLennan had been reported missing to police on Saturday, 02 November, 2024.

The PSNI, on behalf of Lester's family, expressed gratitude to partner agencies and the public for their assistance during the search and inquiries.

"Our thoughts are with Lester's family at this time, and we express our heartfelt condolences to them," a PSNI statement said.

Police are appealing for information to help trace missing 19-year-old Jordon Lester. He was last seen on Sunday, 04 November, shortly before midnight in the Kingsbury Gardens area of Coleraine. His family and the PSNI are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Cause of death sought in river body find
The results of a post-mortem are expected today on the body of a man found in the River Lagan near to Lisburn City's Civic Centre. Police have confirmed that the body recovered from the river yesterday is that of a 60-year-old local man, but he has not yet been named. There are no further details at present.

Man's Body Recovered From River Foyle
The body of a man has been recovered from the River Foyle in L'Derry. It is believed the man entered the water on Sunday night, 08 July. His death is not being treated as suspicious. Missing Craigavon Pair Found 'Safe And Well'
Two people who went missing from the Craigavon area have been found safe and well. Chelsea McGarry, 17, and Daire McIlroy, 21, were reported missing on Tuesday, 29 March. They were believed to have been recently seen together at Dublin Airport. Police confirmed the pair have been found "safe and well".

Driver Caught Speeding At 135mph In Co Down
A driver has been caught doing a "completely crazy" speed in Co Down. The PSNI caught a driver speeding at 135mph on Tuesday night, 06 June. The motorist is being taken to court, police confirmed. A PSNI spokesperson said: "Wise up, slow down." Driving at excessive speeds can lead to disqualification.
