Glentoran to take on Swedish side in Uefa Cup

Glentoran will face Swedish side Elfsborg in the first leg of the Uefa Cup second qualifying round.

Friday's draw follows the Belfast's side 4-3 aggregate win against Finnish opponents AC Allianssi on Thursday, their first victory in Europe for 23 years.

Should Roy Coyle's men progress past Elfsborg in this two-game tie, the first of which takes place at The Oval, they could face a potential money spinning fixture against the likes of Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Lazio, Parma or Sporting Lisbon.

The other British team drawn out of today's hat was Dunfermline who face Icelandic side Hafnarfjordur - a team both Linfield and Glenavon have faced in European competition in the past decade.
