Funeral takes place of suicide victim

The funeral of a Belfast teenager who took her own life at the grave of her boyfriend has been buried today.

Fiona Barnes, from the Divismore area of Belfast, committed suicide just two months after her boyfriend Michael McComb took his own life. Michael died two years after the death of his 15-year-old sister at the hands of joyriders on the Springfield Road.

Ms Barnes' body was found at his grave in the City Cemetery on Sunday. West Belfast councillor Marie Cush described the news as "sad and tragic".
