Translink Announce Active Travel Challenge Starting In June

Translink, as part of its 'Better on Board' Charter commitment to supporting a healthier and more sustainable Northern Ireland, is calling on all its partners to sign up and participate in this year's Active Travel Challenge, which gets underway in June.

Delivered in partnership with Sustrans, the Department for Infrastructure, the Public Health Agency, and local authorities, the challenge encourages individuals to choose more active and sustainable travel options – such as walking, cycling, and using public transport – instead of the car. This directly aligns with the principles of Translink's 'Better on Board' initiative.

By getting involved, organisations can support employee wellbeing through healthier travel habits, reduce carbon emissions and ease congestion, lead by example as a 'Better on Board' champion, and enjoy some friendly competition with the chance to win prizes. Participants are also encouraged to share their progress on social media using the hashtag #GetMeActiveNI.

Taking part is straightforward: businesses or organisations simply need to sign up online today and encourage their teams to log their active journeys throughout the month of June to see the collective impact grow.

Organisations can register now at: atc.getmeactive.org.uk/
