Traffic Warning Issued For South Belfast Ahead Of NI vs. Iceland Friendly
Road users in South Belfast are being advised to anticipate significant traffic disruption and potential delays on Tuesday evening, 10 June, due to an international football friendly match.
The Northern Ireland team is set to face Iceland at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park, with kick-off scheduled for 7:45 PM. Supporters travelling to the match are urged to allow ample time for their journeys, both before and after the game, as substantial traffic congestion is expected in the area due to the anticipated large attendance.
Those driving to the stadium are specifically asked to park considerately, showing respect for local residents and businesses in the wider Donegall Avenue vicinity. Pedestrians are also reminded to be respectful and considerate when walking through residential streets near the stadium.
It is also important for all attendees to remember that the areas surrounding the National Stadium are designated 'No Street Drinking' zones under Belfast City Council by-laws, and these regulations will be enforced.
