Traffic Disruption Expected In Carrickfergus For Royal Landings Events

Road users are advised to anticipate significant traffic disruption and road closures in Carrickfergus tomorrow, Saturday, 14 June 2025, due to the annual Carrickfergus Royal Landings events.

The main A2 road, encompassing Belfast Road, Marine Highway, and Larne Road, will be closed from approximately 11:00am to 6:00pm, spanning from Trooperslane to Beltoy Road.

Access roads into the town centre will also be affected by closures. These include Woodburn Road and Prospect Road, both from their respective junctions with Upper Road, and North Road from the junction of Prince Andrew Way.

Diversions will be clearly signposted, directing traffic via Trooperslane, Upper Road, Marshallstown Road, and Beltoy Road. Police officers will be present to support the implementation of the traffic management plan.

Funding Restored For GCSE Aimed At Improving Road Safety
Infrastructure Minister John O'Dowd has reinstated funding to support a GCSE designed to improve road safety.
