Multiple Vehicles Damaged In Newry Fire

Police have made an appeal for information after an early hour report was made yesterday (16 June) of a fire in the Killeen School Road area of Newry.

Both police and members from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene, where they observed multiple vehicles that had been damaged as a result of the ignition.

Superintendent Haslett said: "At approximately 3:15am, we received a report of a fire at a premises in the area.

"At this time, the incident is being treated as deliberate, and enquiries are on-going to determine the full circumstances. 

"We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed anything suspicious, or who may have dash-cam, CCTV or other relevant video footage, to get in contact with us on 101 quoting reference number 156 of 16/06/25."

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE

Appeal Following Multiple Burglaries In Newry, Mourne and Down Area
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following reports of burglaries in the Newry, Mourne and Down area. On Friday, 31st May, police received a report that a burglary had taken place in the Ashfield Avenue area of Newry at some point between 9.00am and 12.50pm, when the resident was not present.

Vehicles Vandalised In South Belfast
Jerusalem Street in the Holylands area of Belfast remains sealed off this morning after vandals set fire to a number of cars. Police and the Fire and Rescue Service were called shortly after 3.30am to the area, where they found two vehicles had been completely burnt out and another extensively damaged after being set on fire. Earlier, at around 10.

Forty officers hurt during trouble in north Belfast
Forty police officers have been injured following rioting in the Woodvale area of north Belfast on Thursday. The disorder broke out at around 5.30pm following a number of searches carried out by police in connection with investigations into an ongoing loyalist feud. One bus was destroyed by fire and ten other vehicles were damaged.
