Appeal Issued Following Fatal Collision In Bangor
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a fatal collision on the West Circular Road in Bangor on Tuesday, 08 July..
Police have confirmed that 16-year-old Jaidyn Rice, from the Bangor area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Roads Inspector Cherith Adair from the PSNI's Collision Investigation Unit provided details of the incident: "Police received a report at approximately 22:55 of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the West Circular Road."
Officers, accompanied by colleagues from partner emergency services, attended the scene. Despite their efforts, tragically, the pedestrian, identified as Jaidyn Rice, was pronounced dead. Inspector Adair stated that officers are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. The PSNI is appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have captured dash-cam or other footage that could assist with their enquiries, to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1774 of 08/07/25. Alternatively, information can be submitted online via the PSNI's non-emergency reporting form at www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.
The West Circular Road, which was closed for a period following the collision, has since been fully re-opened.

It is believed he was originally from Slovakia and worked in the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
