DoE To Host Inaugural Learning Environments Conference In Belfast
A new flagship conference aimed at transforming Northern Ireland's school estates is set to take place in Belfast this autumn, bringing together key figures from the construction industry and education sector.
The Department of Education will host the inaugural Learning Environments Northern Ireland conference on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, at the Titanic Belfast venue.
This one-day event is specifically designed to explore the key challenges faced by estates and facilities professionals across Northern Ireland. It aims to inspire participants and facilitate the sharing of best practices among architects, contractors, consultants, and clients involved in education infrastructure. Attendees can expect presentations on the latest policies and guidance directly from Department of Education representatives.
The conference will serve as a platform to showcase the Department’s work and the ongoing efforts across the Northern Ireland schools’ estate. The programme includes engaging discussion panels, sessions, and talks involving key members of the construction industry, architects, representatives from the Department of Education, its Arm's Length Bodies (ALBs), and schools. Discussions will focus on core Department of Education policies and the adoption of modern methods of construction.
The conference is being organised in association with event partners - Step Connect2.
