DAERA Launches Consultation On Fourth Carbon Budget

DAERA has launched a consultation seeking views on the level of Northern Ireland's Fourth Carbon Budget. The consultation, which runs from Monday, 28 July 2025, to Monday, 17 November 2025, is a crucial step towards the region's net zero targets.

DAERA Minister Andrew Muir MLA stated: "The setting of carbon budgets is an important step in ensuring that we have a gradual transition to net zero which can be done in a fair and just way."
