Abnormal Load To Cause Delays On M1 To Dundonald Route
Motorists are advised to expect significant delays this evening (Tuesday, 12 August), from 7pm, due to a slow-moving abnormal load travelling from the M1 to Dundonald.
The load will travel along the M1 eastbound, Westlink, M3, Sydenham by-pass, Holywood Road, Parkway, Hawthornden Way, A20 Upper Newtownards Road, Comber Road, East Link Road and Old Dundonald Road.
Drivers are advised to seek an alternative route for their journey where possible.

£430,000 Resurfacing Scheme To Commence On Old Dundonald Road
Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins has confirmed a substantial £430,000 investment in road infrastructure with the announcement of a resurfacing scheme for Old Dundonald Road in Belfast. The project, covering approximately 0.6 kilometres, will involve carriageway resurfacing from the roundabout at Dundonald Ice Bowl to Kings Road at Granton Park.

Drainage scheme to begin in Castlereagh
The DRD Water Service has confirmed that work will start on a sewer improvement scheme in Castlereagh on Monday. The work will involve the upgrading of existing drainage pipelines on the Old Dundonald Road and Comber Road with work lasting approximately 16 weeks.
