Arrests Made In Investigation Into Jonesborough Death

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a 42-year-old man in Jonesborough.

James O'Connor sustained serious head injuries on the Edenappa Road in the early hours of Saturday, 31 May. Mr O'Connor died in hospital as a result of his injuries on Thursday, 5 June.

Two men, aged 28 and 42, have now been arrested and remain in police custody.

Superintendent Norman Haslett, the District Commander for Newry, Mourne and Down, said: "My thoughts are, first and foremost, with Mr O'Connor's family and loved ones who continue to grieve.

"As the investigation continues, we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact officers on 101 quoting reference 35 of 31/05/25."

Four Men Arrested In Connection With Lyra McKee Murder

Figures from Get Safe Online and Action Fraud show 247 cases were reported with total losses amounting to £2,152,343 between March 2015 and March 2016. However, police believe the overall losses could be higher.

Appeal For Information On Serious Assault In North Belfast
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a report of a serious assault in north Belfast on Tuesday, 10 October. According to the report, shortly after 9.10pm, a number of masked men were seen leaving a flat in the Forthriver Drive area.
