Motorists across Northern Ireland are advised to expect significant traffic disruption this Saturday, 30 August, due to the annual Royal Black Preceptory demonstrations.

Police will be on the ground at parade locations to manage traffic and minimise delays.

In Belfast, parades will take place in the north, west, south, and east of the city.

• The north Belfast parade will begin at 9.15am at Fleetwood Street and follow a route to Linenhall Street, returning along the same route from 5.15pm.

• A second north/west Belfast parade will leave West Belfast Orange Hall and travel along the Shankill Road, returning at 5.30pm.

• The south Belfast parade will leave Ballynafeigh Orange Hall at 9.15am and proceed along the Ormeau Road, with the return parade beginning at around 5.30pm.

• In east Belfast, the main parade will begin at 9.15am on Templemore Avenue, with the return parade commencing at around 5.30pm.

Major parades are also planned for Ballyclare, Antrim, Dundrum, Cookstown, Limavady, and Castlederg, where significant road closures and diversions are expected. • In Ballyclare, the Ballynure Road will be closed from around 10.30am, with town centre closures from 11.30am to 6pm.

• Antrim will see Fountain Street closed from 10.30am, with further closures in place between 11.30am and 7pm.

• In Dundrum, traffic will be disrupted from around 9am, with the main parade starting at 11.30am and returning at 4pm.

• Cookstown will see delays from 11am, with the parade beginning at midday and returning from around 3.30pm.

• In Limavady, disruption is expected throughout the day, with the main parade starting at 11am and returning at 3.30pm.

• In Castlederg, feeder parades begin at 9am, and drivers, especially those not attending, are advised to avoid the area. Traffic diversions will be in place on Castlegore Road via Silverhill Road.

A number of smaller parades are also taking place in Newry, Ballynahinch, Armagh, Banbridge, and Dromore, which may also cause some disruption for traffic.

Those travelling, especially to the airport, should seek an alternative route and allow additional time for their journey. Motorists and members of the public should follow any direction and advice given by police.
