Detective Inspector Maguire said the task force will continue to work to "disrupt the activities of those who make their living from crime." He stated that paramilitary groups "use a regime of fear to exercise control over the most vulnerable in our society, and care nothing about the lives ruined along the way."

The Paramilitary Crime Task Force is a multi-agency body composed of the PSNI, the National Crime Agency, and HM Revenue & Customs. It was established to tackle all forms of criminality linked to paramilitarism.
