Cannabis Plants Seized And Man Arrested In Banbridge

A man in his 30s has been arrested after police seized a number of suspected cannabis plants and cultivation equipment from a residential property in Banbridge.

Officers attended a property in the Bishops Green area of the town shortly after 9pm yesterday, Tuesday, 9 September. A search of the premises led to the discovery of the plants.

The man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis, abstracting electricity, and criminal damage. He remains in police custody, assisting with enquiries.

Officers are still at the scene this morning, and police have appealed for anyone with information to contact 101, quoting reference number 1309 of 09/09/25.
