Allstate Invests £16m To Upskill Workforce In NI
Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald has announced that Allstate Northern Ireland is investing £16 million to upskill and reskill its workforce in Derry and Belfast.
The investment is central to the company's global 'Transformative Growth' programme, which aims to modernise its international technology operations and enhance its digital capabilities.
Allstate NI has already invested £6.5 million in digital skills over the last two years, with support from Invest NI. A further £9.5m will now be committed over the next three years to ensure the company's 1,700 employees remain at the forefront of global technology innovation. The upskilling initiative will provide extensive training in key areas such as full-stack software development, cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data engineering. New management development programmes will also be introduced to support both leadership and technical career progression. The investment helps cement Allstate NI's role as a Digital Centre of Excellence for the corporation.
Minister Archibald said the investment strengthens the local tech sector and supports talent, while Anne Beggs, Chief Commercial Officer at Invest NI, added that it benefits employees, reinforces Allstate's commitment to Northern Ireland, and strengthens the region's reputation as a hub for fintech and digital innovation.
