Man Dies Following Motorcycle Collision In East Belfast
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has confirmed that a man has died following a one-vehicle road traffic collision in east Belfast late on Sunday, 28 September 2025.
Inspector Cherith Adair of the PSNI's Collision Investigation Unit stated: "At approximately 11.50pm, we received a report of a one vehicle collision involving a motorcycle in the Castlereagh Road area."
Officers and emergency services attended the scene, and the man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital where he died a short time later.
The Castlereagh Road was closed for a number of hours while investigation work was carried out but fully reopened to traffic on Monday evening.
Enquiries are continuing, and police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dash-cam footage that could assist their investigation to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 1693 of 28/09/25.

A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Woman Dies Following Collision In Newtownabbey
A woman has died in hospital following a collision on the Doagh Road in Newtownabbey on Monday, 13th January. Shortly before 6.15pm, police received a report of a collision involving a grey Seat Ateca and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 80s, was taken to hospital but has since died as a result of her injuries.
