Teenagers Charged Following Assault Near Lisburn Road Hospital
Two young people have been charged to court following an investigation into a reported assault that took place on a pedestrian walkway suspended over train tracks in the Lisburn Road area of Belfast, near a hospital, on Monday, 6 October 2025.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with several offences, including grievous bodily harm with intent, attempted grievous bodily harm with intent, and disorderly behaviour. He is scheduled to appear before Belfast Youth Court today, Tuesday, 28 October 2025.
A 15-year-old girl has also been charged in connection with the incident. Her charges include attempted grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and disorderly behaviour. She is expected to appear before Belfast Youth Court on Friday, 21 November 2025.
As is standard procedure, all charges filed will be subject to review by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Man Charged Over Murder Of Paul McAuley
A 28-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Paul McCauley. Mr McAuley died in a care facility in June last year, almost nine years after he was attacked in L'Derry. The suspect has been charged with grievous bodily harm and attempted grievous bodily harm. He is to appear at Londonderry Magistrates Court later today, 07 April.

Man Charged With GBH Of Baby Girl
A man has appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily harm of a baby. The baby girl, understood to be the man's three-month-old daughter, was admitted to Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital on Wednesday. She remains in a critical condition.

Man Attacked In Bangor
A man, aged in his 60s, has been injured after he was beaten and kicked to the ground in the face and head in Bangor. The assault occurred in the Castle Street area at around 10pm on Saturday, 21 May. A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing Grievous Bodily Harm and has been detained in police custody.
