PSNI Appeal After Early-Hours Disturbance In L'Derry
Police are seeking information following a reported clash involving a large number of young people in the Artillery Street area of L'Derry in the early hours of Sunday.
Chief Inspector Cathal Pearce said: "We received a report at approximately 2.10am this morning, Sunday 16th November, that a large group of young people were fighting in the Artillery Street area.
"The young people dispersed from the area, prior to officers arrival. One male, believed to be involved in the altercation, was however, located with an injury to his head. "Our enquiries are continuing to determine a motive and who was involved – we also believe weapons were used during this disturbance.
"Anyone who witnessed what happened or noticed suspicious behaviour, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 187 16/11/25."
Reports can also be submitted online via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport. Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
